We Help Fill the Gap between School, Church Youth and Missions Programs, University and Adult Life
We respect and understand that your mission is to help young people grow in their faith and become the future leaders of their communities, businesses, or of the church. But as they head off into university or the workplace, they often face challenges to their faith, identity and character. How do you feel about the need to equip them with the right tools before they face these pressures?
The heart of the Pathfinder Gap Year Program is to disciple young adults to be equipped to walk out their faith and life with boldness and confidence. This is achieved through a Christian lifestyle approach of empowering, coaching and teaching our students who they are, why they are here, and walking on a journey of discovering their gifts, callings and vocation potential. We train them in team building, social life skills, leadership, identity, purpose, and practical skills needed to thrive in this life, around the core Biblical Christian values, including family and purity.
We don’t just prepare students from a missions or ministry perspective, but we help them prepare for whatever mountain of culture they are going to step into. We see too many young adults coming out of Christian courses being displaced, because they have not been equipped for the world outside the religious mountain. They’ve only been taught how to fund-raise and not how to be tent-makers, sometimes creating a poor work-ethic and sense of entitlement.
We are for God’s kingdom first, so we teach evangelism and being witnesses of the Gospel as a lifestyle, irrespective of what mountain of culture you are in. One of our core goals is that the students leave us with a healthy relationship and commitment to local church and the mission of Jesus.
In 2026 we’re excited to be partnering with Shofar Christian Church in George to address some of these challenges, and have loosely labelled the 2026 curriculum a Fusion Ministry School, where we are combining our Discipleship Gap Year Program, Mission Training and a Church Co-Mission Intern Program.
Our experience is that God’s process and Word work, but discipleship requires intentionality and effort, along with time. One of the greatest gifts a Gap Year gives young adults is time. Time to discover who they are, who God is, and why their lives matter.
We see the intense war of Satan against this generation, in so many ways, but they are authentic in their desire to know the truth, and encounter the living presence of Jesus. We help facilitate what the Holy Spirit wants to offer all believers.

Our Vision and Mission
Awaken a generation to thrive through traditional family values and be empowered to lead well in life through a Biblical foundation, identity and clear purpose. We achieve this by facilitating a personal development gap year program for young adults built around transformative lifestyle discipleship, vocation and life skills, disciplines, and team adventure experiences, to become the leaders of tomorrow with faith and a Biblical Kingdom worldview.
Our program is designed to develop young adults into tomorrow’s leaders, firmly rooted in their faith. Through our discipleship-based approach, they’ll grow in identity, purpose, and leadership—all while having fun through team-building, travel, and adventure. We’re working to ensure the next generation is prepared to lead with a Biblical worldview. Does this sound like something that could support your mission to disciple or develop future leaders?
We love building bridges with the local church and mission organisations, so please connect with us, or reach out if you’d like to chat.

How does our program differ from a Church Internship Program?
Most church internship programs focus on ministry and leadership within the domain of the church. While great for growth, discipleship and exposure, many interns reach the end of the program, not sure of direction and often not having a role or position available within the church. This is a common dilemma for the intern and for the church leadership. Our exposure and training is across several domains, and while we have a Kingdom first understanding, we encourage our students to explore their gifts, calling, vocation and areas of interest through personality profiling and assessments. We encourage entrepreneurship and studying further as much as mission. We train our students in hospitality, entrepreneurship, marketing, project management, negotiation, and many other skillsets, that can benefit them no matter where they go.
Another key difference, is the amount of time we get to invest in the students. This is not always practical in a busy church program, as the congregation and ministry are the core focus. Our core focus is the students and their growth and transformation.
